White House Black Market is known for its crisp white and classic black fashions, but now the retailer has introduced a new shade to its fall collection. Look for splashes of garnet in tops and dresses and in accessories like handbags and shoes.
Winter trends at the store include cigarette pants, pencil skirts, long cardigans, high-waisted trousers, fitted blazers and, of course, lots of little black dress options.
White House Black Market is at The Summit and Mall St. Matthews.
Embellish your UGGS
Those ultra comfy and cozy UGG boots seem to be a popular choice on Christmas wish lists every year. So if you're planning to buy a pair for yourself or that extra-nice person on your list, we wanted to let you know about an UGG Personalization Event at Von Maur on Saturday.
A Chicago graffiti artist will be in the women's shoe department at the Oxmoor Center store from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., painting complimentary colorful designs on UGGS bought at the store that day.
Brett Buffurine uses paint markers and some metallics to create works of art on footwear. Personalization, which takes about 10 to 15 minutes, is only available on suede styles, which include boots and slippers.
Shoppers can choose from 14 designs, including flowers, peace signs, stars, hearts and other graffiti-like styles.

Now Kilgore (once referred to as “the new Estee Lauder” and also founder of the splurge-worthy Bliss skin-care line) has several new products for fall from the budget-friendly Soap & Glory brand.
Standouts include a collection of sassy pink makeup bags embellished with vintage black-and-white prints of sunbathing beauties.
The ‘All' Set Bag ($18.99) features three mini makeup bags in one, the Big Vanity Bag ($24.99) is ideal for toting all your getting-ready essentials, and the Big Makeup Bag ($16.99) holds cosmetics and makeup brushes.
